UCL Citizen Science Academy

UCL Citizen Science Academy offers community-based, practice-led research training, and empowers communities to create social action, produce useful knowledge, and lead meaningful policy change.

Henrietta is committed to involving grassroots communities in the production of new types of knowledge through citizen science and led the creation and in 2023 the launch of the UCL Citizen Science Academy. The UCL Citizen Science Academy is based at the Institute for Global Prosperity and has been designed in partnership with the UCL Office for Open Science and the cross-faculty Citizen Science Working Group in order to make participation in research inclusive and accessible to people from all backgrounds. Training programmes are linked to active research projects and delivered in non-academic, community-based settings.
